ravelove is about one thing; raising vital funds for local grassroots charities. We find an intimate dark sweaty room, invite some of electronic music’s most sought-out names and throw a rowdy party in aid of a good cause.
On 7th of August, we’re bringing the party to Tottenham venue Five Miles. Every penny made, including booking fee, will be in aid of the Young Urban Arts Foundation, a local registered charity which helps to keep young people safe by empowering and improving mental health through their creative, music and artistic outreach programmes on their Multi-Media Bus on deprived estates, schools and in communities.
We’re bringing down one of the biggest names working in techno, Daniel Avery. Last year saw him touring with Nine Inch Nails and Jon Hopkins as well as release his critically acclaimed album “Song For Alpha”. He’s joined by a relatively new name on the touring circuit, and one that he regards as one of the most exciting young talents today, Glasgow’s IDA, who will be playing back-to-back with him all night long. Daniel was the person who first brought the Finnish transplant’s immense ravey selections to our attention so we’re thrilled to bring them together for an extended evening show parsing through many different shades of dance music history.
