Ben Klock joins our 20th birthday celebrations. Today the German DJ is one of electronic music’s most dominant figures, known for his commanding presence and mechanical style of techno. It’s a sound he mastered over years behind the booth at Berghain, the hallowed Berlin club where he’s held down a residency for more than a decade. He’s also no stranger in our own Farringdon walls, regularly showcasing his clinical sound through his marathon sessions with us dating back to 2005. This October, he returns for a 5-hour voyage exploring the full breadth of his wide-spanning collection. Joining him is another EC1 staple, Jay Clarke. By now the UK artist is family to us, regularly bringing his driving techno sound to our space as one of our freshest residents. As a signee to the esteemed Klockworks imprint, he’s also the perfect complement to Klock on our Room One bill.
Room Two goes heavy, as Paula Temple touches down. The German artist has been a prominent face on the scene for a number of years now, but with countless killer DJ performances around the world and the recent release of her ‘Edge of Everything’ LP, today she’s at the very top of her game. Behind the decks we know her best for tearing through hard-edged industrial and heavyweight techno with nimble finesse, a style she’s recently shown us in the climes of our cavernous Room Two space. She’s flanked by Tommy Four Seven, an artist whose dense experimentalist productions have appeared on labels like CLR and Stroboscopic Artefacts, as well as his own imprint, 47. Rounding off the bill is an ascending London star who’s currently putting her stamp on techno’s future, our very own IMOGEN.
