  • After 2 epic record label showcases for the last 2 years running with one of Germany's coolest and biggest labels, co-label owner (with Tube & Berger) of Kittball Records, Juliet Sikora returns to Brighton for Part 3. Juliet has become a massive crowd favourite amongst the Brighton faithful, so we welcome her back with open glittery arms for a 3rd year running. This month we feature the infamous and internationally renowned Label 'Kittball Records'. We will be featuring 2 superheroes from this label i.e. co-owner Juliet Sikora and the fabulous NOLAN. Add into the mix your host DJ Markus Saarländer and support from the awesome Charmain Love then we are all in for an amazing night! Kittball Records A huge label that needs no introductions. Kittball have been wowing dance floors for quite some time with huge releases across the board. Internationally known for productions and DJ-sets from Tube & Berger, Juliet Sikora and P.A.C.O., this label is a platform for these guys to release tracks of their own as well as their fellow artists. Alongside their own productions, the Kittball crew has been releasing House and Tech House tracks since 2005 by artists such as Timo Maas, Format:B, Ida Engberg, Ante Perry, Daniel Steinberg, Veerus & Maxie Devine, Lexer, Tapesh, Jay Lumen, Teenage Mutants, George Morel, Timo Garcia, Wild Culture, P.A.C.O., in.deed, Paji and Turntablerocker. A typical Kittball release can be recognised by the fresh sound, deep bass and a tiny pinch of irony. Juliet Sikora (Kittball Records, Suara, Mother Recordings, Voltaire Music) Known to many for her energy driven productions on the likes of Suara, Material and her own Kittball imprint, Juliet’s work and effort within the studio certainly hasn’t gone unnoticed by those within the world of house. Following her first release on Opaque Music alongside German duo Tube & Berger, a longstanding relationship both in and out of the studio with the pair led to a string of notable releases including their Beatport topping 2013 collaboration ‘Come On Now (Set It Off)’, which was later picked up by Pete Tong’s FFRR imprint, coupled with a highly successful and ever-expanding record label. Juliet is also responsible for the running of Kittball, a label she co-owns alongside Tube & Berger & P.A.C.O. The imprint currently sits within the Top 10 selling Deep House labels of all time on Beatport. The label’s catalogue has gone on to welcome the likes of Purple Disco Machine, Andhim, DeMarzo, Timo Garcia and Joeski to name just a few, and looks set to continue flourishing under the guidance of Sikora and her fellow Kittball family members. She also heads up ‘It began in Africa’, a charity founded in 2006 alongside Tube & Berger, and a project she continues to support and champion to this day. As a DJ, Juliet frequently finds herself behind the decks and sharing the booth with industry heavyweights at some of the worlds biggest clubs and festivals, including Watergate (Berlin), Rex Club (Paris) and Cocoon Club (Frankfurt), whilst annual Kittball showcases during Sonar’s Off Week (Barcelona) and across numerous European capitals now make up regular fixtures in the diary. NOLAN (Kittball Records, Connaisseur Recordings, Exploited Rec, Get Physical Music, Mother Recordings, OFF Recordings, Simma Black, Madtech Records) Straddling House and Disco with a unique twist and an eye for the underground NOLAN is making serious waves right now. Signed to Crew Love Records | Get Physical | Kittball | OFF | Nurvous | Connaisseur | ALiVE | Simma Black | Gruuv | Wired | MadTech just to name a few! NOLAN's debut release 'Thief', was snapped up by New York's Nurvous Records, making its way into the discerning boxes of Wolf+Lamb, Droog and Maceo Plex, in addition to being picked up for remix by Huxley. His follow up EP was released on vinyl by the exquisite Connaisseur Recordings, with a bumping Paradise Garage-inspired disco track alongside a stunning revision of an MK classic. Followed by a sizzling hot vinyl EP on Audiojack's GRUUV imprint with remixes courtesy of John Tejada and Poker Flat's Kyodai. Then came 'Go Slow' with it's choice remixes from Miguel Puente & a young Finnebassen who's remix clocked almost 5 million views (possibly OFF Recordings' most popular release on YouTube). More recently his collaborations with Soul songstress Rachel Adedeji created a huge buzz amongst the DJ community featuring remixes from DJ T, Climbers. Sharam Jey & ATFC. Which was followed by a slew of releases on Low Steppa's Simma Black, ALiVE, King Street, Dear Deer & a vinyl release on Sex Panda White with remixes from Kevin Over (Noir), Telonius (Gomma) + Matt Fear & Creature. But it's NOLAN's collaboration with Amber Jolene, which spent an unprecedented 256 days in the Beatport NuDisco charts (100 days of which in the top 10 itself) which is proving hard to beat. The sublime remix by Danish rising star KANT resonated around Ibiza island and now features on Toolroom Ibiza 2014 CD, Pure Salinas, Coco Beach, Armada Sunset + Ministry Of Sound Chilled House Ibiza 2014 compilation CDs and has also now hit the over 11 million views on YouTube! Not one to rest on his laurels Nolan's next collaboration with the inimitable Forrest came out on KITTBALL featuring remixes from Hot Creations duo Raumakustik and label boss P.A.C.O. Followed by a 2 tracker Dance Boy & Cassette Tape up next on Enzo Siffredi's chart busting Wired imprint... Then over the summer there's plenty more to come with more Nolan & Forrest collaborations signed to Soul Clap & Wolf+Lamb's Crew Love Records...
