Nice & Nasty records and Dublin Xpress recordings are throwing and end of year party to celebrate life, love and electronic music.
The line up features some of Ireland's burgeoning talent from Techno, House, Ambient and Radio. There is a little bit of an international flavour with Ron's Mobile Disco coming home from barcaelona to play, Mr Myagi from Ibiza spinning and a posisble improntu performance by Helsinki's Lackluster to be confirmed.
Deep House, Acid House, Detroit Techno, Minimal, Ambient, 80s synth pop, Electro and maybe even some Inide Rave from the late 80s and early 90s will be wrapped up in a nice electronic dance music package by some people new to this and a few people old enough to know better ;-)
Th Parallel has been heating up techno DJ sets for a couple of years now and gained some world wide support from Dave Clarke. Earlier this year he released 'Sleepwalker EP' on Nice & Nasty. He has also recorded for Exhibit B, Static and remixed Rob Glennon, Mick Chillage and Itokim.
Rob Glennon released Night Freaks EP in January on Nice & Nasty. Subsequent remixes and then a vinyl release of the best remixes finished off a great year for the man also behind Static recordings and remixer of the likes of Mark Rogan, Monkey Harris, Celtec Twinz, Mark O'Sullivan and Orlando Voorn.
Ronan O'Ciosoig aka Ron's Mobile Disco released vinyl with Nice & Nasty a few years back as part of the Ceol Don Todhchai EP. He also set up his own label One Louder before moving to sunnier climate. An original membe rof IE dance Ron has been in and aorund the Irish scene for 2 decades.
Chillage Idiots - Mick and Paul are two of Dublin's true pioneers of ambient and alternative electronic dance music. Thier show on XFM has a global audience and MIcks recent releases on Nice & Nasty and Psychonavigation have launched him into new spheres all together.
Brian Taaffe, Jay Riordan and Captain Random are 3 of the DXR muskateers. Brian is going off to set up Space Pig but between the three they almost 10 releases on DXR and remixed the likes of Ignition Technician, Nachklangmusik, Diarmaid O'Meara (Gobsmacked), Lex Loofah, Tony Craig, Headzinc and many others.
Max & Antonio are the kind gents from Deepinthebowelsofhouse that are hosting our soiree.
Paul grant is a DJ, photographer, Grafitti affacinado and host of one of Power FMs longest running and msot popular shows. he recently played part of the DEAF festival.
Elektroduche was recently introduced to DXR by AOife Nic Canna and wil soon release his DXR debut after previously releasing on Queep and Automated.
Mr Myagi is a former Space Ibiza resident and runs a show on Londons Passion FM. There may also be improntu perfromaces from Dave Ingham, Scott Curtis and Helsinki's Lackluster; however, expect a night of good tunes, old and new, classic and contemporary. Expect plenty of fun. this is first and foremost a party!
