France's Crystal geometry. Dark warehouse rave roots, modular engineered music with an industrial mind.
Crystal geometry is the latest project from underground electronic music veteran, Maxime Fabre. Inspired by Post-Punk and Industrial, the French producer and live artist brings a crossover between the warehouse rave scene of the 90’s and industrial music, mixing EBM influences with machine-born Techno. With a growing catalogue of high-impact productions, released through Adam X’s Sonic Groove, SARIN’s X-IMG, Tripalium Corp, RND. Records, Oraculo Records and Berlin-based Noise and Industrial label, AREA Z.
We welcome The Brvtalist to Drøne on September 27th. A Berlin-based DJ, promoter and writer focusing on innovative and forward thinking dance music, art, mutant metropolitan culture and beyond. Through the website of the same name, the renowned podcast series New Brvtalism and over 10 years of experience as a DJ, The Brvtalist aims to expose different elements which all share the same dark romantic allure.
Since 2013, the platform has featured, collaborated and/or performed with a variety of artists across multiple disciplines including Void Vision, Drab Majesty, KATIE GALLAGHER, Ancient Methods, Obscur, Headless Horseman and countless others and more. This is his Manchester debut, and not to be missed.
27th September sees the return of Berlin based Philipp Strobel, head of the massively influential [aufnahme + wiedergabe] label. Philipp's sets span techno, industrial, EBM, Post Punk and whatever he deems to be quality. The label was founded in 2011 and has been hugely prominent, releasing a wide range of music from Ancient Methods, Schwefelgelb, SARIN, The Horrorist, MAX DURANTE, Codex Empire, MELANIA ., Die Selektion, Poison Point, Rendered, ACID VATICAN, Ilsa Gold, Nostromo, Welt In Scherben, Lebanon Hanover, Cold Showers, BLACK EGG and many, many more eschewing any one fixed genre in favor of high caliber releases.
Blac Kolor is a Techno, EBM, Industrial project from Leipzig. Active as both a producer and DJ, Blac Kolor culls from the rich history and tradition of post-industrial music and electronics, releasing prolifically on labels such as HANDS, [aufnahme + wiedergabe] and Daniel Myer 's (Rendered, Haujobb, Liebknecht) Basic Unit Productions. Having played frequently in Europe and in the States at club nights and festivals such as Dystopic Rave at Wave-Gotik-Treffen, FORMS OF HANDS, Hands Label Night, Chaotic Cult & Planet Myer Day. to name only a handful. This is the Manchester debut of the artist and we're over moon to be bringing him to the madness of The White Hotel for what promises to be a very special live set.
Finally, Italian born, Berlin based Marc Ash. Marc draws largely from new wave and leftfield industrial as well as from electronic pioneers and proudly carries his darkwave background. Releasing tracks on Minimal Trend Records, Clan Destine Records, Helena Hauff 's Return to Disorder & his own Blacksilk imprint. Referred to by HARDWAX as “Exceptional & refreshing Industrial/Electro/Techno', he has received wide support and played with artists such as Tommy Four Seven, Ancient Methods, Broken English Club, Drew McDowall & Black Merlin amongst others & has been remixed by artists such as Alexey Volkov & /ϟ/HUREN/ϟ/ as well as playing out at clubs such as Tresor.Berlin (OFFICIAL), Griessmuehle, and KAOS London.
