Through a series of workshops at SIGNAL, Sound School has introduced young artists to the world of the algorave, using code to generate beat driven music. Working with Allison Walker, participants have learned how to use algorithms to create and manipulate melodies and beats.
Now, as part of Melbourne Music week, we take live coding to the rave outside the computer lab in a one off, outdoor event, giving audiences a rare opportunity to experience this new field of music-making.
