『“神に最も近い男” DJ HARVEY来日30周年記念ツアーが決定！』
ハウス、ディスコ、バレアリックシーンのカルトリーダーにして、ローリングストーン誌による“地球上で最高のDJ”トップ10にも選ばれているDJ HARVEY (DJハーヴィー) が、11月に来日30周年記念ツアーを行うことが決定した。
1989年の初来日から30年の間に、ロンドンMoist、ロサンゼルスHarvey Sarcastic Disco、イビサMercury Risingといった伝説的パーティを開催し、世界最高峰のクラブBerghain/Panorama Barや世界最大級のフェスCoachellaなどに出演。2016年には日本を代表する野外フェスFuji Rock Festivalの20周年の大トリも飾り、今春はRainbow Disco Clubの10周年のヘッドライナーとして登場。先週末は、自身が90年代にレジデントDJを務めたロンドン最大級のクラブMinistry of Soundの28周年パーティでオールナイトロングセットを披露するなど、今も世界のシーンの最前線で活躍し続けている。
制作面では、今夏5シーズン目を大盛況のうちに終えたイビサのホテルPikesでのレジデントパーティMercury Risingのコンピレーション第2弾「DJ Harvey Is The Sound Of Mercury Rising Vol II」を9月末にリリース。ワム! の名曲MVロケ地であり、クイーンのフレディ・マーキュリーが41歳のバースデーパーティを行ったホテルとしても知られるPikesでの熱くたぎるマジカルなダンスミュージックから、地中海のリラックスした空気を漂わせるバレアリッククラシックまでを、さすがの審美眼でコンパイルしている。
なおツアー会場では、同作のスペシャル盤LP (2色刷りスクリーンプリント / 世界限定300枚) とアパレルブランドWACKO MARIAとのオフィシャルコラボアイテムを数量限定にて販売予定とのこと。“最も神の領域に近いDJ”と称されるリヴィングレジェンドの来日30周年祝祭ツアーをぜひお見逃しなく。

House/disco/balearic cult leader DJ HARVEY, once ranked in at #10 on Rolling Stone magazine for world’s top DJs, returns to Japan to celebrate his 30th anniversary tour in November.
Since his first appearance in Japan back in 1989, he has played at legendary parties including London’s Moist, LA’s Harvey Sarcastic Disco, Ibiza’s Mercury Rising, Berghain/Panorama Bar and world’s biggest festivals like Coachella in the past 30 years. In 2016, he headlined for the 20th anniversary of Japan’s Fuji Rock Festival, and will be headlining for the 10th anniversary of Rainbow Disco Club this spring. He continues to be in the forefront of the scene recently playing at London’s biggest club Ministry of Sound, where he once held a residency in the 90’s, for their 28th anniversary playing an all night set. His second compilation, 「DJ Harvey Is The Sound Of Mercury Rising Vol II」, for his resident party Mercury Rising at Hotel Pikes Ibiza, which had their 5th season this summer, was released late September this year. He captures the vibe of Pikes, a famed location where Wham! filmed their music video and where Freddy Mercury celebrated his 41st birthday, with magical dance music and the laid back tropical sounds of balearic classics.
