Berlin Techno label ‘Lebensfreude Records’ celebrates 15 years of ‘lust for life’ with a very special release and tour, next up at Lantern Club in Beijing
‘Lebensfreude’ means ‘Lust for Life’ in German. And boy, has the Berlin label lived up to its name over the years, touring the globe and leaving a trail of lustful memories and memorable music.
In numbers, 15 years of Lebensfreude Records means: 121 releases, 579 original tracks and remixes, 100 artists and... well, we simply forgot how may label events and parties...
To commemorate these 15 wild years of ‘lust for life’ and said crazy parties, the Berlin label will put out the best hidden gems of its history, one for each year.
“The Lost Dub Plates: The B-Sides Of 15 Years Of Lebensfreude Records” will bring back rare and timeless B-sides from the Berlin underground. Consequently, the rule was to select tracks that had only been released once as an original release. Hear them for yourself here: http://bit.ly/2KYyimy.
Additionally, this release is also indispensable for understanding the true Berlin Techno underground and what it really was like before everyone had a smartphone.
The 2 label heads Gunne & Zuckermann will personally go touring together to celebrate the spirit of the original Berlin rave nights, but before this happens, Zuckermann will play an exclusive DJ set at Lantern on October 19, consisting mostly of Lebensfreude Techno releases - ‘lust for life’ full-on!
