Jonny Cruz aka Spiri Tusanto (Cocoon, Serialism, Vakant, My Favorite Robot, As.If Records - Montreal)
Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico in the beginning of the eighties. Jonny Cruz has been involved with electronic music since an early age. His first steps as an "act" go back to 2001 when he became a drum & bass MC for Puerto Rico's local drum & bass scene, shortly there after he started producing drum & bass and released several tracks under the moniker IDENTITY with his music partners: Dstruct, BTK & Korosiv. In 2008 he moved to Budapest and played at some of the best clubs around Europe. In late 2008 he found himself needing a change from drum & bass. Being a house and techno fan since the late nineties, it only felt natural to take the next necessary step on to producing 4 on 4 structures.Fast forward to present times Jonny has been featured so far on labels such as: COCOON RECORDINGS,VAKANT, SERIALISM, DIGITAL DELIGHT,SOUL FOOLED and his home MY FAVORITE ROBOT.
Finley (Superfreq, Soul Clap, Nervous, Cenote, As.If Records - Boston)
Finley is a fully trained musician/audio engineer. He has studied music theory since childhood and is a professionally trained audio engineer from one of the most respected schools in the business. He has paid his dues, playing his first gig in 1999 at the ripe age of 17 and has not stopped since. There have been ups and downs and everything in between, but he's never stopped gaining knowledge, experience and respect for what he does. Finley's roots and love for the dance floor along with non-stop work in the studio have pushed him into the big leagues with releases on labels such as Get Physical, Nervous, Dufflebag Recordings, Superfreq, Touch of Class, Motek, Faceless, and Sullivan Room Records. His touring schedule has included gigs at the BPM Festival, WMC, and Movement, along with regular gigs in LA,NYC, Detroit, Boston and Miami at Venues such as the Legendary Electric PIckle, The Works, and Output. Finley has a new Label called As.If Records as well that will be launching Fall 2019. Keep your eyes Peeled for some real treats from this imprint. We have heard some real gold! As Finley’s popularity grows, so does his thirst for creating and playing the music he loves so much. Whether it is an all day or night studio session making new innovative sounds or performing at an established venue, Finley’s drive, focus and passion show no signs of relenting and he's humbly taking steps towards achieving success.
Daniel Allen (Viva Recordings, Red Ant, Audiophile Deep, Denied Music, As.If Records - Austin)
Akin to the mysterious sea anemone, Daniel Allen's sensibilities extend from deep underground straight up to the glimmering surface. Since his start in '89, he's had his tentacles in everything — 80s, drum & bass, house, techno, and all fusions thereof — giving his DJ sets a riveting, tactile quality. Young junglist Dizzy emerged from Houston’s after-hours spots in the 90s. Then a decade later, with an entire record shop at his fingertips while working at Chemistry, a more cultivated Daniel Allen dove into production. For the last fifteen years, he’s continued to mix his palette with unwavering meticulousness, garnering the support of labels Audiophile Deep, BluFin, Bush, Harmonious Discord, Panhandle, Whiskey Pickle, and several others. Within the last 5 years Daniel has caught the attention of Viva Recordings, Red Ant Records, Picknik, As.If, Staybad, Colour & Pitch, Beatamin, and Marinated Music. Still in scope’s view, and swimming deep in A&R, DJing, and a flood of remixes, collaborations and solo work, he’s inevitably delved into live performance — proving that Daniel Allen’s three-decades-deep passion continues to take him, and his listeners, to new frontiers. Between steering the helm of misfit record label Denied Music and studio work, he can be found at his multiple residencies at Plush in Austin, The Dive in Houston, and Techno Club in New Orleans.
