Feiertag is the alter ego of Dutch producer Joris Feiertag. Recording and performing since 2015, his sound can be described as electronic yet warm, and with a preference for innovative syncopated rhythms combined with fragments of instruments such as the harp and kalimba.
His background as a professional drummer resonates in his live-act, for which he travels with a full drum-kit and electronic equipment ensemble. Feiertag's ability to challenge both his electronic music and drumming skills create an intense and dynamic live performance which he has demonstrated on stages such as Down The Rabbit Hole, Pitch Festival and the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE).
His latest EP ‘Virtues’ through Berlin’s tastemaker label Majestic Casual, featuring collaborations with Pip Millett, Maydien and Ayelle (a.o.), showed his ability to combine haunting and poetic songs with dynamic rhythms and genre bending production.
Recently being picked up by Jazzanova’s Sonar Kollektiv, Feiertag just released his singles ‘Ocean’ ft. Oli Hannaford and Black Diamonds & Pears ft. Alxndr London through the label alongside a remix for Jazzanova’s evergreen ‘Little Bird’ ft. José James.
The ’Severance’ EP will be released on Sonar Kollektiv in January 2020. This night Feiertag will give a special preview of the new material at Oumuamua.
