Mid Silly Season shenanigans ahoy... filling that weird weekend that fills that awkward gap between Xmas and New Years in with the return of an ex local doing big things in the big old techno haven of Berlin.
Somersault
Somersault’s music is uncompromising. Heavily influenced by the shuffling rhythms of UK garage, deep techno and driving house, Somersault straddles the line between the delirious highs and murky lows, a sound that’s brought his unique sets to the most respected outdoor festivals and underground clubs across Australia.
2019 has been a momentous year for Somersault, largely spent in Berlin actualising the artist’s vision for completely unique and enduring dance floor focussed music. From warming the floors for industry dons Sebastian Leger, Davi, Egbert, Maayan Nidam, Secret Cinema and Kaiser Souzai to playing sets in Berlin and at Amsterdam Dance Event to signing releases on MadTech, Rawsome, Blind Vision and Innocent. Heads are turning fast to this thriving force in house music.
Somersault’s sizable DJ resume otherwise boasts performances at major Australian festivals Subsonic Music, Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Dragon Dreaming, Bohemian Beatfreaks and Elements, as well as famed Australian club brands S.A.S.H, Revolver Upstairs, Goodbar, Elsewhere, Capulet, Breakfast Club, Bloom, Circus Sundays, Tramp, My Aeon, Club 77, Something Else and Slyfox.
On support we have a brace of Chilean talent to open & close the night.
Fresh newcomer Josefina Tapia will be in charge of warming up the dance floor with some sweet chilly tunes.
