With dozens of singles, remixes, some film and TV work and contributions to sample CDs to his credit, this recent expansion has born a slew of tracks deeply informed by his uncompromised aesthetic. His musically formative years were steeped in Classical music, growing up in family of performing artists-his mother a soprano singer and his father a conductor — which then widened to include hip hop, DJing and finally, electronic music. Known for crafting a brand of subtle, musical techno on labels such as , Plug Research, Seventh City, Pokerflat, and Tejada's own imprint Palette, his recorded output ranges across tempo and genre lines, from chilled out affairs with spacious arrangements to pulsating, densely layered, deeply energetic dance tracks that work magnificently in the hands of DJs as well as on the home stereo. For this event John will showcase his unique live show using the Monome, MAx Msp and other pieces of highly stylized kit. Richard Devine (Live PA) - Warp : Schematic // ATL: Richard Devine is one of the most talented (if not prolific) of the producers organized around the Miami neo-electro haven of Schematic Records. Based in Atlanta, Devine's productions have the rigid breakbeat swing of prime electro recordings, but also a high degree of DSP (digital signal processing) magic in keeping with Schematic's acknowledged heroes, Autechre. After EPs for a sublabel of Woody McBride's Drop Bass Network and the Devine EP on Schematic, the producer began getting a reputation in advanced electronics circles with remixes (of material by Aphex Twin, Chris Deluca, Slicker, and Schematic's own Phoenecia) as well as compilation appearances (Ischemic Folks and Lily of the Valley, both on Schematic). Turned on to Devine's work by praise from Autechre and his remix of Aphex Twin's "Come to Daddy," Britain's Warp Records hired him in 2000 to record a full-length. The results, Lipswitch, were jointly released one year later by Schematic and War Deru (Live PA) - Merk : Ghostly // LA: Deru is Benjamin Wynn, an electronic music producer from Los Angeles. His music is best described as an amalgamation of hip-hop, electronica and IDM. Deru started producing music in high school and later obtained a degree is music technology from CalArts. He now resides in LA where he composes music for televison, film, dance and performance art. Ben is a co-owner of a music and sound company called "The Track Team". Their work on "Avatar: The Last Airbender", earned an MPSE Golden Reel award nomination for best sound design in 2009. Ben collaborated on a dance score for the Paris Opera Ballet with classical composer Joby Talbot in 2008, and like his other releases, this piece embodies a synergy and culmination of various musical influences. Deru has released music with Ghostly International, Merck, Neo Ouija, and Mille Plateaux, amoungst others. "Say Goodbye to Useless" will be his third album and first with Mush Records. This album comprises the aesthetics of his previous releases – moody, atmospheric sounds, haunting melodies and organic textures – but with his most mature song-writing and energetic movement to date. Acid Circus (Live PA) - Droid Behavior // LA: In an industry where DJs no longer dominate the action with pressed wax, live PAs have taken digital mixing to another level. No strangers to tweaking everything within earshot, Acid Circus have mastered the art of live performance: Dropping original music, custom remixes, re-edits, and samples from both current and classic tracks, their unique and aggressive mix of electro, house, and every strain of techno in between has blurred the lines of dj set and live act. Their intense and inspiring performances have placed them alongside major players Magda, Jeff Mills, John Tejada, Konrad Black, Tony Rohr, Ellen Alien, and Claude von Stroke at undergrounds, festivals, after parties, and club nights throughout the United States, Mexico, and Dominican Republic. Their releases have been charted and heavily played by techno heavyweights Speedy J, Adam Beyer and Richie Hawtin.
