Something of a 2019 breakout star, the inimitable Aya Sinclair (fka LOFT) was responsible for one of the tunes of the year in 'That Hyde Trakk', deconstructed jungle that RA insisted ‘she has been working towards her entire career’. A DJ, producer, live performer and visual artist, AYA somehow also manages to find time to hold down a regular show on NTS, earning a spot on the station’s artist development programme.
--> Meuko! Meuko! (LIVE)
Taiwan’s Meuko! Meuko! is part of a new wave of East Asian artists breathing fresh, futuristic energy into club music. The experimental DJ, producer and live performer has carved a reputation around her punishing, razor-sharp post-club sound, recently knocking out a mix for the Boiler Room ‘Hard Dance’ series that paired nosebleed techno and bruising gabber with death metal and rapid-fire Prodigy edits.
