We wanted to come into 2020 with something big and so we’ve pulled together what we consider to be a dream line-up. Joining us on the night:
COSMIN TRG [Fizic/Sportiv]
Since touching down in the height of the heady dubstep melting pot of 2007, Cosmin TRG has been a firm More Claps favourite and it seemed only befitting that we invite the Fizic/Sportiv head honcho over from Berlin to head things up in Room 1. Expect a dance floor driven journey through both classics and new terrain alike, all expertly woven in TRG’s signature style.
BLASHA & ALLATT [Meat Free]
Natasha Carter and Steffi Allatt have cemented themselves as a serious driving force in the UK techno scene. Seamless vinyl mixers and selectors, they know how to jack a room or warehouse. Whilst running their renowned Meat Free party in Manchester, the dynamic duo have recently billed Fabric, Printworks’ PW:19 season opener and Planet Bauhauz’s massive 2019 New Year’s Eve rave where they tore it down, leaving the crowd in a state of shell shock. Look forward to a massive Room 1 closer.
PALEMAN [Zehin/PLMN/Swamp81]
Stalwart Swamp81 affiliate, Paleman has really impressed us with his Rinse FM ‘In The Trenches’ sessions and his newly launched ‘Hyphal Networks’ series, which takes things on a deeper, more experimental dive. Showcasing his unique DJing style and huge array of unreleased experiments, we’re hyped to see what he'll bring to Room 1’s famed Funktion One system.
Rounding off Room 1 we’ll be firing things up with residents Analogue b2b with Pat Quiche.
Room 2 is on lock for some serious heavyweight Corsica debuts. We’re absolutely gassed and primed to usher in:
ANZ [2 B Real/Chow Down/NTS]
Joining us on the back of a massive 2019 which saw her release EP ‘Invitation 2 Dance’, with single ‘No Harm’ going on to be nominated best track in DJ Mag’s Best of British awards. Anz also closed down countless Boiler Room sessions and parties with her signature blend of electro, dancehall, bass, rave, grime and beyond. A unique UK talent and one to watch.
WALTON [Ilian Tape/Tectonic/Hyperdub/Kaizen]
With nearly a decade worth of releases under his belt, Walton needs little introduction. Spanning releases across labels such as Tectonic, Hyperdub, Kaizen and more recently Ilian Tape, he has been at the forefront of a mergence and hybridisation of styles and genres, constantly pushing things forward and honing ever twisted mutations for the dancefloor. Room 2’s rig is set to shudder.
TOM BOOGIZM [Shotta Tapes/Boogizm/NTS]
We couldn’t complete this line-up without inviting through the Manchester kingpin & Shotta Tapes bossman. Tom’s monthly NTS show never ceases to impress us; a self-styled selector, he effortlessly traverses genres like they’re going out of fashion – which the recent release of his 4 hour La Cheetah set is testament to. Look out for a return later in the night for a cheeky b2b closer with Anz.
