AVANT Festival is a new boutique music festival showcasing the best of the natural and architectural beauty of Apulia, South Southern Italy. The first edition takes place in Lecce, a city renowned for its Messapian Roman origins and sparkling Baroque style, at the best time of year, with mild temperatures, and outside of peak tourism season.
The festival is a slow, intimate experience, delving into the local culture and traditions. It unrolls over two days around the picturesque centre of Lecce and by/touching distance from the Mediterranean coast.
Featuring live performances from avant-garde artists, coastal hikes, sound walks around the old town and Lecce's castle, fresh pasta courses with wine & and more.

AVANT aims to bring together diverse, quality avant-garde musicians to the Baroque city of southern Italy. They are theremin mastermind Dorit Chrysler, Raster’s sonic electronic musician Grischa Lichtenberger, Editions Mego's experimental guitarist Julia Reidy, Italian experimental composer Donato Epiro and pop singer Lucia Manca.

The closest airports are Brindisi (35km) and Bari (140km). Almost daily flights from all major European cities. Frequent trains and public transport from Bari airport to the town. From Brindisi airport, we recommend booking a private shuttle with us. Get in touch at [email protected]
