We are very honoured to have Tory - DJ from NYC kick us off with reigning deep house sounds from the city that never sleeps. We then invite a very special guest Rezident hailing all the way from Karlsruhe, Germany to take us through the evening with some down tempo sounds! To close it off, we could not be more excited to have one of the most prominent names in the Toronto deep house circuit, Crimsen open the door to a sun down set with breathtaking views of the Toronto skyline

Tory prides herself in vibe curation, using sound to foster emotional, physical, and neural, connection with oneself and eachother. Her eclectic sets draw inspiration from feelings experienced with and from the listener.
While not one for genres, her sound has been described as progressive melodic house and techno. Whether at an underground afterhours, or warping binaural sound waves for meditation, her greatest passion is sharing the vibrations that make her move with the people and music community she loves.
She spent a lifetime in headphones or on dance floors in her native New York. Rezident (Karlsruhe, Germany)
With house, electro, techno, or dance music as a whole, there’s a specific sweet spot where a tune can just as easily be rinsed on a hazy dancefloor as it can be received like a looping spiritual mantra, bridging a most unique gap between celebration and therapy.
Rezident, the project of emerging 21-year-old producer David Roif of Karlsruhe, the city in Germany’s southern Baden-Württemberg state, demonstrates that electronic music best sustains itself when these separate entities interlock. Citing a consistent flow of Deadmau5 which influenced him growing up, and taking notes from progressive canons like Bicep, Rezident’s 2020 is warming up— fast.
Like his counterparts growing up in the technologically-accessible 2010’s, Rezident downloaded various music programs on his Windows PC laptop at the age of 12, eager to concoct his own melodies after hearing a ringtone his sister’s friend composed on her Nokia cellphone. There, he gathered essential production techniques, like layering, streamlining, and learning when to walk away from a track for a while. Today, at points in his intimate but expanding discography, reverberating chords informed by deep house accents whirl in and out, only to have sharp hi-hats and intermittent whooshes sober the ethereality. Such instances mark Rezident’s desire for a more minimal and honest approach to track-producing, one which contrasts from his earlier school of beatmaking, self-described as “commercial,” trusting the project and himself.

Crimsen (Toronto, Canada)
Crimsen is about the groove. His basslines are undeniable. His productions are full, lively and sexy. He’s a producer that knows the studio and knows the dance floor – the guy knows what works. His production career started in the refined world of chill-step under the influence of Phaeleh. After taking cues from producers like Nathan Barato, Jamie Jones and Manuel de la Mare, Crimsen’s upcoming musical output in 2018 grows out of tech-house into new worlds. He plans more ‘song’ focused arrangements and is currently experimenting with the introduction of other genres into his electronic music work. “I’m just looking to pack more excitement into the tracks”.
Crimsen approaches his DJ sets with the mindset and disposition of a producer. His energy is embodied in his full control of the sound pouring forth from the speakers as he works loops and sound effects into the sets. Playful samples and memes from current events make appearances when he takes the controls in the booth, adding an element of edge to the Crimsen club vibe.
Born in India, raised in Qatar and Kuwait, Crimsen now calls Toronto home. He has conducted the dance floors of CODA, One Loft, Electric Island and Circus in Montreal. His records under his former artist alias “FunkXRish” have been released by Smiley Fingers, Chapeau Music and Claps Records. And so from these wide influences, for Crimsen it always comes back to the groove. And that’s music to everyone’s ears.

1. Clear your mind and unwind
2. Get your streaming device(s) ready. We recommend that separate devices are used for the audio and video streams
3. Artist Stream - https://www.twitch.tv/socialremotesessions
i. Here you will be able to listen to and see the artist that is playing
ii. For maximum audio quality, we recommend that you download the twitch app on your preferred device
iii. For maximum video quality, we recommend that you project the stream to an external screen or monitor through a casting device such as Apple TV or Chromecast. However, if you do not have a casting device you can view the stream on the Twitch App on your phone or computer

i. Here you will be able to listen to and see the artist that is playing
ii. For maximum video quality, it is recommended to join the video stream through a laptop or desktop computer
iii. To promote inclusivity, if you choose to join the video stream please ensure that your video is turned on. If you do not have video turned on for an extensive period of time, you could be removed from the video stream by the moderators. However, you will still be able to view and listen to the artists by remaining connected to the Artist stream on Twitch
iv. Please note that parts of the video stream will be recorded. Thereby, by joining the stream you are providing consent to having your video feed be recorded for the duration that you are in the stream
v. All individual audio will be muted upon entry so that there will be no interruption to the live audio stream
5. Power Hour
i. Power hour is when the moderators connect directly with the audience.
ii. At every hour of the set, everyone in the social stream is invited to cheers (beverage of choice) with the artists and everyone else in the room.
6. Social Hour
i. Social hour is when everyone in the room will be able to talk to other attendees through the zoom stream.
ii. Moderators will unmute all participants so everyone will be able to introduce themselves to each other and have a conversation.
7. General Communication Guidelines
i. You will be able to communicate with fellow attendees through the chat window available on the video stream (http://bit.ly/srs3zoom)
ii. You will be able to interact with the artists through the chat capability available on Twitch
iii. If there are any mentions of abusive content, you may be asked by the moderators to exit the video stream
