Week 2 - Fetishising Blackness - 2 sides of the coin in the kink world
“That sexy chocolate girl” is more than some digestible object for you to throw away. She is a human, with a multiplicity of identities and narratives. “That Black guy with the BBC” is more than just another one of your sex toys, hidden away only to be used when you feel like it. It’s okay to have fetishes, but not if they cause harm.
Crossbreed and Thorn London present 4 workshops dedicated to unpacking Racism in and around the kink scene and working towards developing a better understanding of the everyday realities that Black people face within our community. These events will take place at The Cause, every Wednesday of October, socially distanced. Any profit made from tickets will be donated to Black Curriculum.
Each week we will share resources and reading material, we will discuss in groups and share thoughts collectively, there will be an hour for socialising and further unpacking the topics at the end.
