『ハイクオリティ・パーティGalaxyの到達点』
ダンスミュージックファンの間で沖縄の最も有名なテクノパーティといえばおそらくGalaxyの名が挙がるのではないだろうか。その高品質なパーティの名は、ベルリンを経由し現在東京に拠点を置く主宰IORIの名とともに全国へと響いてきた。今回、GalaxyのContact初開催にして3ヶ月連続開催とともにIORIが新たに始動させるレーベル〈VISIONARY〉のローンチ、さらにはこの日Studio Xに出演するTasokoのユニットBlue Fictionの当レーベルからのリリースパーティを兼ねたものになるというサプライズが舞い込んできた。
沖縄出身のTasokoは美しいラインと優れたビートコントロールや特有のマッドネスを融合させることでIORIとともにGalaxyというパーティの強い個性になってきた。そして、Kaoru Inoueをゲストに招いたことはこの日のメインフロアの完成度を決定づけるものになるかもしれない。有機的な音像を含んだ音の繊維を精巧に組み合わせながらも心身の解放を誘うその電子音楽は、IORIの推進力を伴う深く多彩なテクノ/ハウスやTasokoのテクニカルなサウンドデザインとえもいわれぬ絶妙な相性を見せるだろう。テクノの枠に囚われない高品質のダンスミュージックを抽出、凝縮した多彩さはオーディエンスに新しい高揚と深い没入感を与えるものになりそうだ。
ミニマルテクノファンに高い評価を得るパーティNeuronオーガナイザーDJ MANGO、モダンな音像の中でときに狂気的なまでの発展をみせるk_yam、ハウスやジャズなどを全く違う観点で用いながら幻覚的な景色を見せるFLATTOPクルーBungoや、エッジの効いた電子音楽にファンクネスを差し込む特異なセットをみせるdiscopantsといった、Contactフロアに集結した世代を異にするエレクトリックミュージックの急先鋒たちはメインフロアとは違ったアヴァンギャルドかつモダンなフロアメイクを実現する。
世界水準のテクノと東京シーンの混合から派生する新たな音楽の幕開けに立ち会ってほしい。
「The arrival of the high quality party Galaxy」
Galaxy is the most well-known high quality Techno party in Okinawa amongst dance music fans. Now based in Tokyo, IORI is the man behind the Galaxy who has made his name in Berlin and around the world. Galaxy will be hosting its first party at Contact, a first of a 3 month consecutive series, in celebration of IORI’s new label〈VISIONARY〉and the release party of Tasoko’s unit Blue Fiction from the label who will be performing in Studio X.
Tasoko, the Okinawa native, has played a big part in Galaxy along with IORI with his unique fusion of madness and excellent beat control. Kaoru Inoue, the guest for the evening, will be the perfect addition in the main room. The combination of intricate and organic sounds with IORI’s deep and colorful Techno/House to the technical sound design of Tasoko is bound to be an exquisite display of their compatibility. This high quality dance music that is not bound just to Techno brings a new immersive experience for the audience.
Contact floor features the leading figures of the modern electronic music movement. DJ MANGO, the organizer of the party Neuron praised by Minimal Techno fans, k_yam’s modern approach which progresses into sheer madness, Bungo from FLATTOP crew who’s unpredictable style ranges from House to Jazz, the edgy and funky discopants will be providing a modern and avant-garde space in contrast to the main floor.
The mixture of the world standard Techno and Tokyo’s scene collide for a new musical experience.
