『享楽のバレアリックサウンドが繰り広げるGalaxy第二夜』
11月に開催されたIORI主宰パーティGalxyの3ヶ月連続開催、第一夜では自身のレーベル〈VISIONARY〉のローンチ、加えて当レーベルから、TasokoとのユニットBLUE FICTIONのリリースなど、国内シーンの中で際立ったトピックとして注目を集めた。Kaoru Inoueの招致や、気鋭の若手で作るContactフロアなど徹底したキュレーションで、オーガナイズのパフォーマンスの高さも大いに話題呼んだ。
今回、IORIと兼ねてからバック・トゥ・バックなど幾度となく共演を重ねてきたToshiyuki Gotoのバレアリックセットでの出演が決定した。第一回とは違った、IORIが見せる膨大な音楽情報から浮かび上がるサイケデリックなバレアリック、コズミック、ディスコ・ダブと、ハウスマスターToshiyuki Gotoの時間と全盛期の熱狂のフィルターを通したディスコ・ハウス、バレアリック・ハウスによる圧倒的な灼熱を堪能するものになりそうだ。この二人のエキスパートによる共演はオーディエンスのほか、クラブシーンに携わる関係者からの評価も非常に高く、今回のStudio Xのサウンドシステムでの投下は待望といえる。Studio XのサポートにYO.ANを招いたこともこのパーティの濃度をさらに高くする格好なオーガナイズだ。
前回に引き続きContactフロアに出演するk_yamやDJ MANGOといった実力者も前回のセットとは違ったサイドのフロアメイクを見せるのは非常に興味深い。オルタナティブ・ハウス、エクスペリメンタルの鬼才shunhorや、ベースミュージックをレフトフィールド的視点から鳴らすmu”heといったラインナップも、多国籍な音像がオブスキュアに渦巻く多幸的フロアを解放させている。
豊潤なバックグラウンドから生み出される享楽と、アヴァンギャルドな感性による前衛的快楽の二面性が年末の夜を深める。
「Hedonistic balearic sounds presented by Galaxy for their 2nd edition」
Galaxy, IORI’s 3 month consecutive series, made its 1st mark in November in celebration for the launch of his label〈VISIONARY〉and the release of his unit with Tasoko, BLUE FICTION. The first of the series, perfectly curated, featured superb performances by Kaoru Inoue and up-and-coming talents in the Contact floor.
For this edition, Toshiyuki Goto, a veteran who has played side by side as well as B2B sets with IORI, will be playing a Balearic set. In contrast to his performance for the 1st edition, IORI’s psychedelic approach to the sounds of Balearic, Cosmic, and Disco Dub will flow nicely with the House master Toshiyuki Goto’s Disco, House, and Balearic, which has been filtered through his experience in the early days of the booming House scene. Not only loved by audiences, the two experts are highly appraised and trusted by the people involved in the club scene. We can anticipate some killer sounds with the sound system in Studio X for this edition. For the supporting act in Studio X, YO.AN joins the lineup to intensify the experience even further.
Following up their previous appearances with different kinds of sets, k_yam and DJ MANGO take charge in the Contact floor along with other members highly capable of creating the right vibe. Alternative House/Experimental sounds of shunhor, and Bass Music/Leftfield enthusiast mu”he, great additions to the lineup, have been uplifting dance floors with global obscure sounds.
An avant-garde and hedonistic evening created by artists with rich backgrounds to bring the holiday times to deeper realms.
