Parasang is a night of live improvisation led by Iranian sound artist, Pouya Ehsaei (Ariwo / Entr'acte / Zabte Sote) and Harry Follett (Manana//Cuba).
Joining Pouya (modular/electronics) are guests Golnar and Mahan:
Golnar Shahyar is an Iranian/Canadian vocalist, performer, composer and instrumentalist who specialises in improvised music. Her dedication to creating new musical dialogues has seen her collaborate with internationally renowned musicians such as Erkan Ogur and Alain Perez, as well as solo performances with ORF Radio Symphonie Orchestra and Trickster Orchestra. She is band leader of numerous groups, including Golnar & Mahan who were selected for the WOMEX 2020 showcase
Mahan Mirarab: Iranian/Austrian guitarist and composer specialising in blending the microtonal systems of Persian traditional musical with jazz. Mayan represents a generation of young migrant musicians in Europe who are changing the sound boarders in the music industry!
