As a kid, Ann Weller loved to set fairy tales to music on the piano. Today the berlin-based singer of the band Ann & Bones is writing film scores and songs that turn the melancholic vibe of the metropole into dark and mysterious music. Ann’s performance is uncompromisingly deep and comes along with a serene power of carrying emotions with her distinctive warm and vulnerable voice, blending dark minimal sounds with classical piano. Musical influences range from folk and chamber pop to wave with an aura of Robert Smith, Nina Simone, Cat Power and James Blake.
