reworks festival returns with a 4-day music edition in various locations of Thessaloniki

In these unprecedented times reworks has tried to to stay on the forefront encouraging the creation of cultural content. In 2020 we presented the first hybrid edition ever held in Greece via a new platform, reworks connekt, with original content created in Greece and various locations around the world. More than 2 million viewers watched artists performing live and special audiovisual projects for two days.
Even though reworks connekt was something we feel very happy and excited with, 19 months without a physical event is too much. Covid-19 is still here however we will try this year to make a step forward a restart if we may say.
In 2021, reworks festival and reworks agora collaborated on co-curating projects with two major European festivals, c/o pop in Germany and Elevate in Austria.
Now, it is time to organise a physical event in our home city. It is now time to say that reworks is coming to Thessaloniki from 23 to 26 of September!
‣ reworks presents the restart edition ‣
In 2021, reworks returns with a special physical edition. Following the health instructions and protocols announced by the authorities against Covid-19, we have prepared a special edition of reworks 2021 that will aim to bring us closer to all those we missed. Aspiring to offer its musical aesthetics, supporting the work of both local and international artists.
A series of projects will be presented on special locations which carry a special symbolism. The 'Kivernio' (Royal Palace) will open its doors for the first time, where reworks will present Max Cooper, Grandbrothers and Christian Löffler while Jeff Mills w/ Jean Phi Dary, as well as Henrik Schwarz on a special live for reworks. Reworks will also create a musical journey on venues around the city presenting line ups for its audience.
