From March 28th to April 3rd 2022, the laid-back and friendly Swiss ski resort of Leysin will once again vibrate day and night. So here's what's happening: DJs during the day on the slopes, followed by après-ski parties down at the bottom, and to finish off with clubbing & live music at night. Without forgetting our unique Sunset Party at the incredible Kuklos at 2200m, where you will be able to party and enjoy the best panoramic views in the Alps, making it one of the highest clubbing experiences in Europe. We will be welcoming Optimo, Scotland’s most iconic clubbing DJ duo. After reaching a well-deserved cult status with their Optimo (Espacio) weekly Sunday-night parties at Sub Club, JD Twitch and JG Wilkes have continued to play, tour and release music under the Optimo name to keep the spirit of their hedonistic parties alive.
We’re very excited to bring the talented Moroccan DJ and producer ڭليثر Glitter٥٥, who has quickly established herself over the past three years as one of the rising figures of the North African and French electronic scene. The legendary music producer, Jean-Michel Jarre, recently invited her to perform with him at the Élysée Palace.
Also on the bill, Byron The Aquarius, who is fast becoming one of the best-loved artists in house music. His releases for labels like Wild Oats, Sound Signature and Apron are a rare return in the modern era to the eccentric flair of early house, and to its spontaneous sincerity.
We will also vibrate to the sounds, both totally vintage and completely modern of Batida, the Angolan-born, Portuguese-raised music fanatic. Invited by Damon Albarn to be a part of his Africa Express project and also by Stromae himself to be the opening act of his last tour, Batida's music is unique and fresh. As Gilles Peterson would say himself “Batida is just on another level”.
Combine DJ Mag’s ‘one to watch’ status with the most talked about mix in the UKG revival and you have a breakout 2021 for Yung Singh. With his DJ sound firmly rooted in UK sound system culture and his involvement in the Daytimers collective, Singh is at the forefront of a thriving new scene for the South Asian Diaspora and is set to make big waves in this new era of dance music.
You don't want to miss, L'Eclair, the cosmic instrumental six piece from Geneva. They play an ever-evolving, undefinable brand of groove-heavy instrumentals which effortlessly fuse the band's many influences, including Afro-beat, funk, Jazz and other influences as the house grooves of 80’s Madchester, Aphex Twin or Boards of Canada.They crafted a unique sound and we can't wait to see the freewheeling, improvisatory spirit of their live show!
The much loved East London tropical warehouse party favourite Sofrito will raise the temperature by a few degrees and will be joined by Soundway Records label manager and DJ extraordinaire, the one and only Norsicaa.
This year, we will be handing over the reins to three of our favourite tastemakers to bring their newly discovered artists + special guests. On Thursday March 31st, it's Lefto’s Day. Lefto needs no introduction, he is constantly a step ahead of the pack and we can't wait to hear his latest findings. Then on Friday April 1st, it’s Global Warming Records' Day with Malcolm, producer, DJ and founder of the label. With Argentinian, French and Scottish roots, this voracious record digger will showcase his love for worldwide electronic music. And finally on Saturday April 2nd, it's On The Corner Records' Day. Led by Pete Buckenham, the label has spearheaded its way in just a few short years to the forefront of the new wave of African inspired electronic music.
