For their November 17th performance at IRL gallery , New York-based composers Elori Saxl and Matt Evans share a bill that highlights their mutual affinity for hypnotizing and ecologically minded chamber music that entangles acoustic instruments, field recordings, and analog synthesizers. The double release show is a celebration of their recent releases The Blue of Distance (Western Vinyl, 2021) and touchless (Whatever’s Clever Records, 2021) and the NYC premiere performances of the albums for both artists. Both composers are joined by a string and woodwind ensemble assembled specifically for the evening's performance to help conjure their memory-smeared landscapes. With DJ Max Mellman.
