Gop Tun, you might have noticed, is an anagram for "Top Gun", that aviation blockbuster featuring Tom Cruise. Gop Tun is also the result of the musical bond between four DJ friends. It is a party that toured across the states of Brazil and this year celebrates its 10th anniversary. A music label counting 27 releases in its catalog already. Gop Tun is, more than all that, the quest for the perfect dancefloor. Always has been. Since our first party.
If we were to say that this perfect dancefloor came swiftly, we would be lying. Like everything else in life, maybe it took time - for the audience and for us as DJs and events producers. Up until the moment when, after several attempts, many mistakes and some successes, it finally happened. Hard to say when or where. But you feel right away: "This is the perfect one."
There were many Gop Tuns of all sizes and shapes. XAMA at the end of the year. A partnership with Dekmantel. Okay, we have already done other festivals. But believe us: for us, this is the very first Gop Tun festival. Made 100% by us in São Paulo, our city of origin and base of operation, on April 2nd, 2022, almost exactly two years after some crazy and cruel pandemic broke out in our lives.
Gop Tun Festival. 43 artists. 20 hours of partying. 4 stages. The site is still a secret, but we can reveal that it will be at an unknown part within an already known location. There we will take off for another journey in search of that perfect dancefloor. As always, we are counting on your help.
