Legendary electronic Music star Sven Väth is set to bring his Cocoon show for the first time in Malta. Tuesday 30th March will see the Cocoon ringleader descend on Malta's MFCC for this showcase event.
This means that the warm up DJ, Visuals, dancers, lighting and sound system will be hand picked by the man himself. Reach Visuals (who also look after the Cocoon parties in Ibiza & Frankfurt) will manage the projections and lasers, whilst Cocoon Frankfurt resident, Chris Tietjen will be warming up for Sven as he prepares to hit the decks for a 4 hour set. For this event a full Funktion One system especially for the night will be brought in. Cocoon's very own performances stand for a new quality and for their debut in Malta, we are more than happy to announce the Performance artists “ Dream & Dare" directly from Frankfurt in Germany will be spicing up the show. They are the performing artist & Dancers group of Cocoon Club in Frankfurt
Sven Väth is a DJ. The turntables are his medium of choice. But his fans and followers rather perceive him as some kind of a magician, a spirit, a shaman. Although Väth's work transcends into performance art, architecture and design, his preferred way of communication is music. Techno and House are his inborn language, his most immediate way of expression. Like few other musicians, Väth manages to push his music beyond the limitations of certain musical styles. He opens up towards his crowd in a deep and profound way: Mysteriously, Väth builds an incredible connection with everybody in the room.
The past season was a very special one for Cocoon. Väth has just won the Ibiza DJ Award as best DJ and the award for the best set of the summer for a fabulous back2back set with Luciano. Sven and his collaborators celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Cocoon Parties at Club Amnesia in Ibiza. During these ten years him and his dedicated crew made the Cocoon Nights one of the most beloved electronic events on the island. People from all over word visited the place to celebrate the most exciting musicians of today. A Cocoon season is not completed without the concluding Mix-Album, on which Väth merges all facets of the club sound of today into a double CD. With the tenth volume of the Season-Series, he finalizes the first decade of Cocoon's activities on this very special place. Väth always emphasized the island's unique atmosphere in the Mediterranean Sea. Ibiza can be quite dark at times, is a frequently repeated comment of his. You might climb the highest mountains or travel to most remote beaches, but this might not be it. The Cocoon parties' ecstasy turns them into some sort of modern man's pilgrimage. Väth invents Ibiza as a place where one discovers the delights of electronic music. Väth's journey into music enables to open up emotionally, to our deeper self. Ibiza is the place to leave everyday life behind turning into another form of reality: beauty and madness created by the reality of electronic music.

After more than 10 years of hard work, Reach Visuals is one of the most sought after VJ team in the world and they are in charge of all the mind blowing visuals present in all Cocoon shows in Ibiza at Amnesia , London at Matter and most of all Cocoon club in Frankfurt.
The story of Sven Väth, Cocoon and especially Ibiza has been told in so many ways and so many times over the last few years, with interviews, press releases, party reviews, bulletin boards and much more which does not actually leave much room for additions. Cocoon Ibiza is, and remains, one of the cornerstones of the Ibizan party universe that is calling out for the island's invasion every summer. So the fact that Malta will finally get a taste of all this creates a great deal excitement & anticipation.
House and Techno in their present form would certainly be understood in a different way without Cocoon in Ibiza. As well as the musical artistes our performance acts have had a special position within Cocoon events from the beginning.
So, the craziness continues and with this tour Malta will be given the opportunity to celebrate together the tenth year of this musical sensation – a very special year and a magic doubling of jubilees! While Cocoon Ibiza revels in its 10th birthday, the Cocoon Club Frankfurt is entering its 5th year! After the long, hard and grey winter, we are now looking forward to an outstanding summer: 10 Years of Cocoon Ibiza – the party continues!
