  • → → WHAT'S GOING ON ← ← Dweller is a festival, blog and platform centering and celebrating Black artists in electronic music. The festival was founded in 2019 by Frankie Decaiza Hutchinson. This year’s installment of the festival presents a lineup that unites artists across generations of dance music. We’re thrilled and honored to host a portion of the festival’s events at Nowadays. Dweller Day 1 - What Can This Look Like? A series of screenings, readings and conversations that questions how we can build something new for Black artists. Screenings: - “Social aid & pleasure” Dir. Ryan Clarke (15 mins.) - “Lunar New Year” Dir. S*an D. Henry-Smith (20 mins.) - “A Bitter But Beautiful Struggle” Dir. DeForrest Brown Jr. (28 mins.) - Archive Film from Abdul Qadim Haqq Readings + Audio Performance Collaboration: - Latasha Diggs x KeiyaA - DeForrest Brown Jr. x Ariel Valdez Talk: Drexciyan Town Hall with Abdul Qadim Haqq → → VACCINE PROOF ← ← In order to join us for a ticketed event, you'll need to prove you are fully and finally vaccinated no later than fourteen days before the party you're attending. These are the proofs we're allowed to accept per the state: *a CDC vaccine card *the Excelsior Pass App on a smartphone *a printout of your Excelsior pass from here *a record of vaccination from the healthcare provider who gave you your vaccine Whichever of these proofs you present, you'll also need to present an official ID matching the name on your vaccination documentation. → → SAFER SPACE ← ← In an effort to create a space where all people feel safe, violence, non-consensual touching, racist, homophobic, transphobic, sexist, ageist or other discriminatory language, and leering are not allowed within our walls or in our back yard. If someone says or does anything to make you feel uncomfortable while you’re here, let us know.
