Every so often the universe throws out a perfect constellation of circumstances and an epic event is born. Such is the case for Local LOV: a benefit for Lov Kitchen. A gorgeous theater and internationally renowned DJ’s who all happen to live in LA and have the generous hearts to donate their sets. Nobody knows how to rock a rave in this city better than the people who live here and there’s no better reason to come out than to help our fellow Angelenos in need. On Saturday Feb 5th LA’s finest talents come together at the Globe Theatre to raise money to help Lov Kitchen feed the unhoused population on Skid Row. The lineup for this event is a who’s who of LA’s electronic music scene:

Since Omicron is not yet Omi-gone we’ll be requiring proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test to gain entry to the event. The venue’s air filters are superior and masks will be required so that we can all celebrate safely. https://www.airscrubberbyaerusca.com/
House and Techno vocalist/ songwriter Cari Golden is also a trained chef who started the non-profit Lov Kitchen in 2020 to help feed the unhoused community of Skid Row in downtown LA. On any given day there are 69,000 intermittent or terminally unhoused people living on the streets. Lov Kitchen does a weekly hot lunch service that feeds between 100-200 people.
