Andy Stott
Manchester-based producer Andy Stott returns to North America in support of the recently released Never The Right Time. Always the dynamic performer, Stott will again bring his unique blend of electronic music with experimental techniques to the Quo Vadis stage.
Debit
Debit is touring in support of her second LP The Long Count. Fusing ambient and electro-acoustic textures into beatless compositions, the tracks of her new album were sourced from the sounds of pre-hispanic Mexican instruments that date back to the Mayan civilization.
Barker
Berghain resident and Leisure System co-founder Sam Barker is renowned for his genre pushing sets. Refusing to be confined to strictly techno, he has established himself by expanding past familiar realms into left-field sound design and further areas of rhythmic complexity.
Octonomy
Heidi Lorenz is a staple of the Brooklyn underground. As a producer her work is rooted in goth and industrial music (including its noisier, more experimental offshoots), but has evolved into a sound which finds a natural home on the dancefloor. Her DJ sets see her run the gamut of these influences, and makes for a uniquely dynamic experience.
Blacklauren
New York’s Blacklauren has made a name for himself playing around the city with thought-provoking techno sets which lend themselves to heavy influences from the avant-garde. Split between the bustling hip hop world of Brooklyn in the early 90’s and an early exposure to Haitian Vodou, his music style combines various sonic elements of the black diaspora while maintaining a signature style.
Nihal Ramchandani
Recognized for his extensive depth of knowledge, Nihal Ramchandani is a favorite name amongst club-goers in New York City. Known to lean towards an edgier side of minimalist techno, he is notable for providing a one-of-a-kind experience passing through the stranger, more obscure sides of electronic music.
