After spending 2 whole years living without Edinburgh's favourite underground venue, we're beyond excited to finally reveal that 26th March will be our reopening Saturday at the Cabaret Voltaire.
For what’s sure to be an emotional evening, we wanted to give a nod to the club’s heritage whilst setting the scene for the future of Pleasure…
In the main room, Pleasure’s founder Simon Bays will play back-to-back with legendary Edinburgh DJ Gareth Sommerville all night long.
Bays is one half of Edinburgh techno act Alien Communications and the original resident at Hectors - also playing at the opening of the venue in it’s current guise back in 2012. Over the last decade, he has shared the Cab Vol stage with everyone from Lee Burridge to Mano Le Tough, Archie Hamilton to Enzo Siragusa, and Nicolas Lutz to Francesco Del Garda.
Gareth is the founder of seminal Edinburgh party Ultragroove and can boast being the only DJ to have played at Cabaret Voltaire every year since it very first opened back in 2002. His 20 years as a resident have seen him bring some of the world’s biggest artists to the venue for their Edinburgh debuts, including the likes of Ame, Dixon Prins Thomas and Honey Dijon. He is widely regarded as one of Scotland’s most influential DJs.
Meanwhile, The Boudoir will be soundtracked by good friend of the party and Hectors founder Luke Anderson, whilst The Cafe is hosted by the newest members of the Pleasure family - Central and their residents Checketts and Do Rego…
We can’t wait to see you on the dance floor for what promises to be a night that will live long in the memory of Edinburgh clubbing folklore.
