Between them they have 476 years of experience in the game, record collections that could fill the Grand Canyon and more skills than Messi. Having recently realised all this, they now intend to head out on the road and share their love, passion and knowledge through a series of special, grown up, all night long sets that will be jam packed with the best and most unknown edits, remixes and originals from the golden era of music that was the seventies and eighties.
Roland Leesker, of course, is the Get Physical head honcho who has helped ensure the Berlin label is one of the most important in the house world. A&Ring next generation talents as well as working with the most enduring artists in the scene, he is a master curator of the label as well as his own DJ sets, all while serving up timeless house and tech interpretations along the way.
John Acquaviva is similarly accomplished having set up the Plus 8 and Definitive labels with Richie Hawtin back in the 90s. Since then, he has remained a key techno innovator as well as famously gifted and technical DJ who plays for up to seven hours at places like Berghain and Space in Ibiza, always serving up slices of the past as well as sounds from the future.
Philipp Jung will forever be known as one half of definitive house duos M.A.N.D.Y.. For many years, that pair set the global underground agenda with their dark and moody take on house music. More recently he has launched his own ‘Forever Jung’ project and continues to lend his creative talent to Get Physical, the label he co-founded.
Doormen on Vacation will be taking over exclusive hotels when the owners are out of town, crashing bars in need of musical therapy and rocking up to your local club, musical weapons in hand, ready to join the dots between the happy and the sad, light and dark, good and evil and whatever else takes their fancy.
