The Automation promotions crew is proud to present the next installment of Automation at a new venue for us, Loop Bar. We will be having a Massive Easter Sunday party for the launch of ‘Parallel Sound – Mr Plod’ featuring remixes by Elton Smith on Ecelesia records (released in April).
Bringing the melodic sounds will be (and a fitting headline to the launch party) Tim Lloyd from Parallel Sound (UK).
With over 15 years of DJ and production experience, Parallel Sound is well renowned for their unique blend of house, funk and breaks. Their solid production has resulted in over 30 releases with labels such as Ministry of Sound, Phonetic, Bonzai, Bedrock, Hope Recordings, Kinky Vinyl, Whoop! and Sinister Recordings.
Production highlights include licensing of the hit 'Flux' by Ministry of Sound, several DJ Mag 'Sureplayers', and their 2006 remix of Bedrock's 'Santiago', which was an Essential Selection on Radio 1. John Digweed personally invited Parallel Sound to do a podcast for his popular Transitions series, reaching 30,000 listeners worldwide. Other highlights involve headlining Warung Beach Club in Brazil with Hernan Cattaneo, and a Kidology residency in 2008 at Es Vive in Ibiza.
Supporting the Parrallel Sound will be Elton Smith. Elton is a local DJ and electronic music producer synonymous with different styles of deep, funky, driving and melodic progressive house. Having learnt to DJ in the UK, he has a heavy influence from the club scene there, having DJed at the superclub Turnmills for Vaccine promotions before returning to Australia to focus on production in his Melbourne studio. He has also played internationally in Asia, including Bali and Thailand.
His sets are unique, incorporating his own edits and productions as well as unsigned tracks from local and international artists. Expect more releases from him in the near future.Further Local
