IPTAMENOS DISCOTEK with Local Suicide, Yami Spechie, Daniel Monaco, Juares

  • Join us this Friday, the 17th of June, at Urban Spree for an event hosted by Local Suicide’s Iptamenos Discos label! The Greco-German DJ and producer couple have been known to host some of the most infamous underground parties Berlin has to offer. Mixing a wild fusion of new wave, acid, slow techno, EBM and post-disco, Local Suicide’s propulsive grooves have earned them the title of key figures in the dark disco scene. The duo will perform tracks from their recently released debut album, “Eros Anikate’ alongside a lineup of special guests playing on two floors: outdoors open from 7 pm till 4 am and indoors from 11pm till 6am! Flying in from Amsterdam to perform is Italian Daniel Monaco, an artist who defies definition by fusing a unique mix of live bass, drum machines and waveform synthesis for exciting and creative productions and DJ sets. Having started his musical career as a professional bass player, Daniel now performs as a solo artist exploring the genres of Psychedelic Disco, 80s music and 90s Techno and Trance with releases on Bordello A Parigi, Slow Motion and more. Another guest act is the Berlin-based Juares, who has perfected a signature cross of sounds between his new home in Berlin and his old one in Mexico. He combines percussive grooves with world influences, strange synths and trippy drums for an imaginative sonic fabric that is both hypnotic and mesmerising! He creates funky, dance-floor-ready tracks that turn heads due to their unpredictable sound haunted by obscure rarities. They may be surprising and secluded, yet above all else, they are always danceable! Lo Stine also joins the lineup hailing from Mexico. Her sound is driven by her love for horror movies and exploring gloomy worlds through soundscapes and textures. Showcasing a flawless technique and confident style, she draws from influences that range from Disco to Synth wave, Post-punk, and New Wave, combined with current trends like Indie Dance and Dark Disco. The final guest for the evening is Matt Cowell, the London-based artist running Viscera Music and The Ransom Note Dispatch radio show on Netil Radio. Matt mixes a variety of groovy electronic cuts with Lofi influences for funky, laid-back performances. Known for his hard dark wave, post-punk sound, Peruvian Yami Spechie is a special addition to the lineup whose set is sure to keep the party going until the early morning hours! Alongside his DJ performances, Yami is responsible for a highly popular YouTube channel as well as hosting the most iconic goth events in Lima. The event will have free entry until 10pm.
