‘Un SónarVillage a S’horabaixa’ faces the last date of this first summer of sunsets and electronic music in Mallorca, thanks to the cycle promoted by Sónar and Mallorca Live, and based in Calviá’s Old Aquapark.
‘Un SónarVillage a S’horabaixa’ closes its 2022 edition on Saturday, 3rd September , as always from 7:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. The series will bring the summer to a close with the self-confident disco and retro-futuristic house of German Danilo Plessow / MCDE, formerly known as the Motor City Drum Ensemble.
There will also be an unprecedented four-handed melodic techno hybrid session signed by also German me Live (Frank Wiedemann) -one of the biggest representatives of the Innervisions label- and Portuguese producer and DJ Trikk in a live back-to-back dj format.
Sónar and Mallorca Live's commitment to up-and-coming talents on the European scene will also be exemplified at this last event with the appearances of Jyoty and Jamz Supernova, two UK-resident selectors who regularly broadcast on Rinse FM and BBC Radio, respectively, their commitment to music that weaves bridges between British, South Asian, the Caribbean and beyond: from afrobeat to future R&B or UK garage.
The line-up for September 3 is completed as always with artists from the local scene. On this occasion, it will be Majorcan Difid who will be in charge of starting this last party.
Attendees at ‘Un SónarVillage a S’horabaixa’ will also be able to enjoy carefully selected local gastronomy, made with 100% local produce, and aimed at supporting local producers.
There will be a variety of food on offer, including both options, offered in collaboration with Esment. For over 50 years they’ve been working to improve the quality of life and provide equal opportunities for people with learning difficulties and their families. All proceeds from the sale of food will go directly to the charity.
