About the Artists
Nina Sol is a DJ and vinyl enthusiast who brings a profound energy to dance floors while spreading messages of justice, freedom and love. She has played with incredible musicians and DJs throughout the country, including DJ Spinna, Solange, Rich Medina, Natasha Diggs, Pete Rock, Moodymann and Honey Dijon. When not traveling, Nina holds down a monthly residency at Elements Oakland, an underground deep and soulful house music party which she co-founded with house DJ veteran, Patrick Wilson.
GAHR is an Oakland-based producer and DJ based (as well as the co-owner and music/creative director of Bar Shiru). His brand of eclectic, deep, left-field dance music and his expansive, can't-miss DJ sets make it hard to pin down his output into a particular genre. It’s just music that makes you feel. Deep house, psychedelic electronic, afrobeat, disco and soul edits. It's all fair game when GAHR hits the decks and it’s all music made to make you move.
DJ Mujie has been giggling in clubs, day parties and community events around the Bay for eight years. Thought she calls Oakland home, Mujie is an Ann Arbor, Michigan native who has a deep reverence for the music of her home state - a wellspring of world-shaping shounds, from Motown to techno. In addition to being a resident DJ in the Afrobeats Oakland crew, she has also played her unique blend of Amapiano music with international artists such as DJ Maphorisa and Flygerian Jeff.
DJ Pamchop is a vinyl DJ and collector, whose musical inclinations span soul, funk and R&B. She is also an avid photographer, writer for Absolute Sound magazine, documentary film producer and host of Select Five, a podcast featuring guest selectors talking about five songs and why they matter.
Sarah Kirnon, or Chef Sarah as many know her, is a vinyl DJ whose sets span R&B, disco, soul and house music from across the globe, from Oakland to London to New York to Barbados. Blending. She is also the co-founder of Sanctuary for Sustainable Artistry, a non-profit focused on creating community, infrastructure and sustainability in the art and food industry, and prior to that, head chef and owner of the iconic Miss Ollie’s, where she frequently turned her shop into a home for DJs and music lovers to convene.
