Over four weekends in July and August, EOS hosts a series of events at the Metzlerpark and the Museum Angewandte Kunst in Frankfurt that bring together over 60 local and international DJs, music producers and artists. The series centers around a pop-up platform in the Metzlerpark, alongside а number of special events that will take place at the museum, culminating in a one-off club night. EOS AIR is informed by a broader definition of club and brings radio as a social platform and listening experience into the public space. The series comprises DJ and live sets, sound installations and various collaborative and audiovisual performances and blends cross-genre perspectives on electronic club music with experimental approaches. The events take up different performance settings and combine listening experiences between live and broadcast, indoors and outdoors, club and museum. The title refers to both the event format and the fact that sound only becomes audible when sound waves are transmitted through the air.
All events are free of charge. EOS AIR will be broadcasted live via eosradio.de.
EOS AIR is funded by the Hessian Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and the Arts as part of the Cultural Package 3 of the State of Hessen under the project management of DIEHL+RITTER, the City of Frankfurt Department for Culture and the Museum Angewandte Kunst Frankfurt.
