今夏、電子音楽とデジタルアートの祭典 MUTEK.JP と WOMB のコラボレーションイベントを開催。
コロナ禍以降、初めてニューヨークから来日を果たす Satoshi Tomiie がライブセットで登場するほか、メインフロアではハウスとテクノをルーツにアシッディでメロディックな DJ セットやプロダクションで知られる GONNO が DJ で出演。
トラックメイカーの Moss と VJ の SO IN THE HOUSE によるデュオ Banter がテクノを軸にしたオーディオビジュアル・ライブパフォーマンスを展開。
加えて、都内を中心に活動し、ブルックリンのラジオ局 HalfMoon BK のレジデンシ－や今年 XLR8R のポッドキャストにミックスを提供したことでも知られる DJのKATIMI AI が登場。
ビジュアルは WOMB や MUTEK.JP でお馴染みの Manami Sakamoto、ライティングは WOMB の照明を知り尽くした AIBA が担当する。
4F の VIP FLOOR には、WOMB のレギュラーパーティーから派生した SATOSHI OTSUKI、PI-GE、KIKIORIX の3人から成る DJ ユニット TRESVIBES SOUNDSYSTEM に、プロデューサーの MASAYASU が DJ で出演。
尚、1F の WOMB LOUNGE では、今年から定期的に開催し、今注目を集めている H.S records presents H5R2 が同時開催中。
This summer, MUTEK.JP, a festival of electronic music and digital art, and WOMB will hold a collaborative event.
Satoshi Tomiie, making his first visit to Japan from New York since the pandemic started, will perform a live set, and GONNO, known for his acidic and melodic DJ sets and productions with roots in house and techno, will perform on the main floor.
The duo Banter, consisting of trackmaker Moss and VJ SO IN THE HOUSE, will present an audiovisual live performance centered on techno.
In addition, DJ KATIMI AI, a Tokyo-based DJ known for his residency at Brooklyn radio station HalfMoon BK and his mix for XLR8R's podcast this year, will appear.
The visuals will be done by Manami Sakamoto, a familiar face to WOMB and MUTEK.JP, and the lighting will be done by AIBA, who knows WOMB lighting inside and out.
The VIP floor on the 4th floor will have the DJ unit TRESVIBES SOUNDSYSTEM, consisting of SATOSHI OTSUKI, PI-GE, and KIKIORIX, which is derived from the regular WOMB parties and producer MASAYASU.
On the WOMB LOUNGE on the 1st floor, H.S records presents H5R2, which has been held regularly since this year and is currently attracting attention, will be held.
Licaxxx who was scheduled to perform at 4th floor has been cancelled due to management reasons.
