Emma dj’s ‘Godrime’ is his first album shifting focus from club music and towards hybrid forms of rap, bridging raw elements of the latter with soul-crushing electronica, recorded during a time of intense isolation and trap music consumption.
Since the start of 2019, Parisian based Emma DJ has been building a rapidly growing catalogue of releases with 3 albums on cassette tapes as well as upcoming releases on imprints like Collapsing Market, L.I.E.S and BFDM to name a few.
O$VMV$M [LIVE]
Debut live set from Bristol-based duo Amos Childs of duo Jabu, and Sam Barrett a.k.a. Neek, who’s best known for his grime, dub and dancehall-tinged collaborations with Kahn. The name is a jumble of the names "Amos" and "Sam", with the letter V representing an upside-down A. Together they make sample based music woven together from B-movie horror films, old jungle/hardcore tapes and found/recorded sound. Heavily inspired by dub and its process of subtraction they often work backwards and strip away and warp elements until the original source material is barely recognisable.
Franco Franco [LIVE]
Solo Fiori (Only Flowers) is the new album from Naples-born-Prato-raised (and now Bristol based) MC Franco Franco in collaboration with O$VMV$M on production. Known for his previous outings as 1/2 of cyborg industrial rap duo Kinlaw and Franco Franco, this album sees him take a more introspective and confessional approach, touching on the mundanities of everyday life, conscience, relationships, solitude.
Collection of lyrics from 2018 till 2022. Screening of tailored common life scenarios projected from the tiny room of one's brain. Average condition. Rollerflatter sum of the ups and downs usual for days like days. General upsets, syllables exercise, romantic doom, flipped moods, enemy in the mirror type beat.
