Event 001 starts at Phonox, Brixton. 9-3am - Thursday 24th November 2023.
It's going off in Brixton. We're going on an exploration of new sounds within and around the 140 umbrella, including Funky, Grime, Dubstep Dancehall & more. Be prepared to hear loads of unreleased ones.

Killa P
Grime stalwarts will already know a lot about Killa P: South London resident, Roll Deep squad member and an MC known for his raucous, Jamaican-tinged drawl. Along with his cousin Flowdan and respected tunemaker, The Bug, he's also the guy behind "Skeng" — one of the grubbiest dubstep tunes to emerge in the last few years.
Manga St. Hilare
The long-standing grime heavy hitter is known amongst his peers as one of the best and most consistent lyricists in the scene. Since Roll Deep ceased recording as a collective, Manga pursued a forward-thinking sound under a newly adopted identity: Manga Saint Hilare.
Jammz
Jammz came up studying grime, and in 2022 finds himself at the forefront of it. Born and bred in East London, Jammz started to make a name for himself on London’s radio circuit in 2014 and 2015, appearing regularly on Rinse FM, Radar Radio, NTS, Mode FM and BBC 1xtra.
Grandmixxer
To witness Grandmixxer behind a pair of decks nearly a decade on is still a thing of wonder. He’s made grime mixing feel like a performance art in itself — the signature side-on fader chop stance, the dramatic transitions, the sense of theatre — while also becoming one of the genre’s great technical DJs.
Champion
A man with a penchant for low-end basslines and dazzling rhythmic patterns, Champion is no stranger to innovation in his productions and made his mark on the UK underground with the breakthrough release of his debut effort, the scintillating Motherboard EP on Terror Danjah’s Hardrive imprint in 2011.
Oblig
DJ Oblig is a fixer, a connector, a joiner of dots. Born in New York but raised in Ealing, West London, he’s been omnipresent in grime for the last three years plus, building a reputation as one of the genre’s fiercest but also conscientious new-school DJs.
J Oh Zee
J Oh Zee, the sickest DJ to ever exist? That is for you to decide. Hailing from Bristol, J Oh Zee (pronounced jay oh zee) approaches the 1s and 2s with a Grime and Dubstep mash up that will send you into a 140 zone that is hard to get out of.
Renz
In South London MC Renz, you get the best of both worlds: pure nostalgia and a look into the future. With a penchant for skippy flows and cartoonish ad-libs, he could have easily come out in the mid-2000s Channel U era, but his energy on the mic is as fresh as it comes. There’s a hunger Renz brings to current-day grime that gives you hope this scene will be A-OK.
Tia Talks
Hailing from Croydon, Tia Talks only started MCing late last year, and already she’s proving to be one of the brightest young talents in the grime scene. She initially started her career in music as a radio presenter and producer for local stations such as Trickstar Radio, Platform B, Croydon FM and NTS, where she also has a YouTube series called Wings & Wine.
Jack Dat
Hailing from Camden Town, 24-year-old DJ Jack Dat is notoriously known for his ever-growing reputation as being one of the best Grime DJ's about.
Mr Furious
I Am Grimes Primary selector, AKA the Grime scene Librarian. Mr. Furious is well versed in controlling a crowd, and with more than just Grime too. Having worked with the likes of Jammz, Spooky, as well as many of your favourite UK artists, rest assured you’re in safe hands with Furious.
