One of Berlin’s original electronic music artists who qualify for the title of legendary is surely 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐎𝐓𝐓𝐄. An iconic figure of the Techno scene – DJ, producer and remixer from the original vanguard of Techno’s few pioneering souls – Dr. Motte initiated and successfully staged what became the biggest cultural celebration of music, tolerance, love and indeed life itself, that the world has ever seen: the 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐄.
Despite his great global recognition and the impressively long list of achievements, Dr. Motte has stayed true to his ideals, true to the underground that has been his home for decades. By his consciously chosen way of life, he remains a peace activist attuned to the all important Zeitgeist. Now, just like then, he stands for love, unity and tolerance and cares like nobody else for preserving and developing the Electronic Music Culture.
In 2019 Dr. Motte returned as the mastermind behind the 𝐑𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐄𝐓 concept – a new Parade for a new era! In addition to organizing the parade, educational exhibitions and releasing new music, the Rave The Planet non-profit organization he founded, is aiming to list our beloved Techno Culture on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.

His sound is sophisticated, energetic and multi-faceted. He combines bouncing Acid sounds and rousing club grooves with driving heavy beats, taking his audience on a colourful trip through his universe, staying relevant and being admired by all generations of Techno fans.
