LOVE CHILD SOCIAL HOUSE
On Sunday evening Nov 20, Promise brings you to one of the final hurrahs at a perfect classic venue - Love Child Social House at 69 Bathurst St. With its hardwood floors and old-timey wood beams, it’s a friendly thumpy venue from a warm era of local dance culture. We had an amazing event there this summer and are very excited for another. The building is soon falling in the name of development and progress, so this is one of the last jams there.
DETROIT’S DJ MINX
It hurt our heart when we had to cancel Dj Minx’s Cherry Beach gig this summer, so when the chance came up to have her back - we grabbed it. This Detroit favourite visits the dancefloor with our friends - two of Toronto’s sleekest bestest talent - Karim Olen Ash and WeTurnToRed. It’s a comfy evening event, going from 6-midnight, so come early and make the most of it. Dj Minx is on at 8pm.
PROMISE WORKS
This party happens outside of our usual major annual events, and is part of a newly formulated Promise Works series. We are thrilled to create the large signature events, but we still crave doing side projects when a unique and unmissable option comes up. Promise Works will be a series of smaller more thoughtful one-offs that are babes of opportunity, just because we can and because we should.
