  • This summer, join us at Nerang Fest for the juiciest day of music and our first party for 2023! January 21st will see the label return to echo and Bounce for the biggest event we have ever done in Australia. 20 international, interstate and local artists will be on offer to showcase a large range of bass driven adventures. We are stoked to have Niki Nair doing his only Queensland show of his Aus tour with Nerang, along with many new faces to the family fun such as Crescendoll and Jade Patricia on their first nerang shows plus a huge stack of amazing local talent. This event will be a huge 12 hour affair split across 2 rooms that will be sure to have you grooving into the AM hours. With custom visuals by interlooper and Zane Kirk, a fresh sound system and licensed bar, this is not one to be missed! Bring some watermelon, smiles and a willingness to get down, it’s going to be glorious! Nerang would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land, the Turrbal and Yugara people, of the land on which this event is held. We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded and pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging. Nair's productions encompass a multitude of club genres, highlighting his signature ability to effortlessly fuse electro, breaks, and elements of UK bass into a sound that is uniquely his own. Showcasing his natural ability to produce across a wide variety of moods and tempos, Nair's releases have found homes on beloved dance labels such as Dirtybird, Scuffed, Pretty Weird, and Astrophonica. Despite his amorphous sound, Nair's tracks have been showcased on some of the largest stages in dance music, receiving support from fan favorite artists Four Tet, Bicep, Caribou, Noisia, Modeselektor, and more. Nikki Nair's technique as a DJ is equally as impressive as his production ability. It's no exaggeration to say that Nair is an expert in cross-genre blending, braiding acid, electro, breaks and more with dexterous ease. Seasoned by the underground DIY party scene of the southeast, Nair is no stranger to curatinq an atmosphere poised to move and mesmerize peak-time dancefloors of any size. When it comes to Nair's DJ sets, fans should check their expectations at the door; Nair has developed a natural intuition for curating his selections based on the pulse of the crowd at any given moment - a trait that truly separates him from his contemporaries. To close out 2021. Nair toured Europe on an eight show run in tandem with Scuffed Recordings. Building off that momentum, he kicked off 2022 by being selected to Beatport Next's program • an achievement only eight global artists are able to boast. In conjunction with the Beatport Next announcement, Nair unveiled his cutting edge new label entitled n goes to infinity. With the name taking inspiration from his background in mathematics and physics, the label was created to showcase music that sits in between experimental bass and rave oriented subgenres. Nair intends for these label releases to strike a perfect balance between both experimental sound ideas and serious dance floor functionality. The label will be used to take this combination as far as it goes...to infinity. 8 months into 2022. Nair is well on his way towards his most successful year since the project's inception. Further bolstering his resume, Nair landed a spot on the Rinse FM airwaves as a monthly resident where he seeks to further engrain his well-rounded artistry in fan's eyes through being not only a great producer, but also a stellar DJ. Continuing his path to prominence, Nair kicked off Summer of 2022 by taking home the award for DJ Mag's breakthrough North American producer in the award series' inaugural year. His busy Summer continued with Boiler Room performances in India and at Bass Coast Festival in British Columbia and made his rounds on the North American festival circuit, performing at Dirtybird CampINN, Infrasound, Sonic Bloom, Bass Coast and Shambhala. Nair will close out the year embarking on his first worldwide tour in which he is slated to play 14 different countries across 4 different continents. Despite the project's continued success, Nair has remained true to his core vision as a musician: releasing and playing the music he loves. As 2022 nears its closing point, Nair has already set his sights on achieving the project's next big milestone: infinity. 1uke is one of the co-founders of the international, and multidisciplinary label /none (formerly know as none/such) and was based in Leipzig, Germany for the past two years.
