TYME for sound-based BRUTALISM is part of Vorspiel /Transmediale & CTM on January 27 at Lobe Block in Berlin.
Brutalism Cologne sets out to demonstrate the equivalence of aesthetic brutalist structures and the expression of raw sound in bare forms. For this special showcase, they have teamed up with TYME to create an intercultural platform between international and Ukrainian musical and visual artists.
In the presentation “Tear off Your Blindfolds”, Berlin-based Ukrainian editor and co-founder of Borshch Magazine, Mariana Berezovska, together with Kyiv-based designer and researcher Snizhana Chernetska, will reflect on the visual insights from the works of Ukrainian creatives shaped by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The musical part of the event will consist of live sets by Maryana Klochko, Koloah and Brutalism Soundsystem.
For the visual part, we're happy to confirm Aodhagan O'Flaherty, Maurice Wald & Felix Ansmann, and Chris Kore. The final announcement of digital artists will follow on the 25th of January.
In addition to the event, we will be raising funds for the K41 Community Fund.
