We were shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of Ivan Conti, legendary drummer and one of the founding members of the jazz-funk behemoths.
Alex Malheirous and Kiko Continentino, fellow members of Azymuth, continue with their ’50 Year Anniversary Tour’ in honour of their late friend with fellow Brazilian drummer and close friend of Ivan, Renato Massa, joining the band behind the drums.
As with any Azymuth show, expect cosmic energy, masterful musicianship and a full spectrum of brilliantly colourful, expressionist funk, soul, jazz and samba in honour of a totemic figure of Brazilian music.
