Brooklyn-based DIY dance label and rave crew Sorry Records returns for another all night all genre party at Good Room! This time the Sorry crew is set for an extended family jam featuring new and old friends from far and wide joining forces to rock the box all night long.
Holding things down in the Good Room we’ve got a super special peak time set from the great C Powers! Playing in NYC for the first time since 2015, Cecilia is one of our absolute favorite dj/producers in the US with incredible records on Sweat Equity, Contagion Discs, and of course her three releases in the Sorry Records catalog over the last three years. Fresh off her sets at Kremework Pride 2022 and alongside Batu for Spend The Night in Portland, C Powers is a hot mixin’ face-melter and a long time dream booking of ours!
Opening things up we’ve got Booty Bass Lift founder and bonafide NYC dancefloor fixture Third Self making his Good Room debut. Closing it all down (you know we had to do it to ya) — we’ve got Durham, NC based “artist/scientist/engineer working on bioelectrical systems and the fundamental physics of rump-shaking” boxofbox back to play whatever the heck he wants! One of the most interested, interesting, and involved people in the US rave underground, box is a dear friend and a deeply wonderful dj who we’re so happy to have bring us home.
Sorry Records founder Nick Boyd is opening things up in the Bad Room again, setting the stage for Detroit’s own Savannah G. who will be making her New York debut with a peak time whirlpool unequivocal sincerity, sensuality, and deep dance music joy built from a far ranging survey of R&B, Disco, Soul, House, Hip Hop and more. We saw Savannah play a profoundly cathartic, life affirming closing set at last year’s Club Toilet in Detroit and have been dying to see her spin ever since!
Closing up shop - we’ve got our friends fleet & flowne back in the saddle and bringing their explosive bff b2b to the Bad Room. Escaflowne (Sorry Records, Haus of Altr, Fixed Rhythms) and fleet.dreams (Unknown To The Unknown, Leopard Cage) delivered one of our favorite Sorry Records party memories with their genre-hoppin’ party rocking b2b at our party with Sweet Kicks at IRL last Spring and we personally can’t wait to see ‘em again.
