Our quarterly event series at Monkey Loft returns with an artist whose career has spanned the world’s top festivals, clubs, and underground parties, both as a member of French supergroup Apollonia and individually as Shonky. DC-10, Panorama Bar, Hoppetosse, fabric, and Watergate have hosted Shonky’s ebullient dance floor selections. Festivals from Miami Music Week to Unum and even BPM are familiar with his magic behind the decks. We’ve been planning for Shonky’s Seattle debut for a while now and along with our event partner Selector Records, we can’t wait to kick off the summer season with you on June 9.
Local support for this one is a treat as well. MMH resident Parker Mills returns to the booth for the first time since his groovy selection last September. Our dear friend Sherman, head boss of Selector Records will school us in his unparalleled collection of wax. And we can’t wait to experience the MMH debut of Geo Xeal who we’ve been wanting to invite for a long time.
Limited advance tickets will be available on May 9 which guarantee skipping the line at the door.. The first 50 ticket purchasers will be entered to win Shonky’s new vinyl release on E.P.I.
