About Rick Wade:
Few can claim to have done as much to contribute to the House Music canon as Rick
Wade. For nearly three decades Rick Wade aka “Big Daddy Rick” has consistently
composed deeply channeled grooves, elongated to have maximum effect. Peppered
only lightly with strings, an occasional breathy voice, or some other sound
remembered from the Funk and Soul milieu in which he grew up, Wade’s style is the
perfect embodiment of minimum elements and maximum impact. As a famously
speedy and prolific producer, turning out hundreds of excellent tracks on a non-stop
basis, Wade is also the force behind the legendary Harmonie Park Records. His own
discography list stretches over four pages and has been a pure gold-mine for House
heads; each track sounding as timeless as the next, resulting in making Rick one of the
most sought after remixers in the Dance Music world. In DJ terms, Rick is just as
assured, laying down Deep sets tinged with Funk, Soul, and just the right amount of
Tech that keep his followers dancing all night. From Europe to the US, Japan to
Australia, this true House legend has played in every venue of note.
