Light On - earthquake fundraiser and day rave

  • LAST ENTRY: 9.30PM LIGHT ON begins the first of our day-raves on a Saturday. After the iconic Sunday Service parties began last Autumn, we spread the joy of dancing to a carefully curated line-up of deep House and melodic techno all day and into Saturday night, also hoping to raise a ton of money for the Mozaik Foundation and their partners in the earthquake-hit zone. Studio 92 is well-known for its outstanding electronic, House and Techno events. Its outside terrace offers a canal-side view over Hackney Wick; your wristband will also allow you into Number 90, one of the most vibrant restaurants and bars in the area. SOUNDS will by provided by Intersonic Productions and their incredible FUNKTION ONES. We are excited to announce our line-up: Jadele Jadele is a notable member of the new generation of house and techno stars and promises to take us on a vibrant journey with her headline set. She has cut through the underground scene with great vigour making her mark as a DJ, singer and vocalist. Garnering support from Pete Tong on BBC Radio One, Sasha, Dave Seaman, Robert Babicz and Hernan Cattaneo to name a few. Her skill on the decks has taken her all over the world from shows in Berlin at Sisyphos, Goldengate, London at Egg, Ministry Of Sound to international shows across the world playing alongside Dubfire, Mat.Joe, Philip Bader, Kiki, Gel Abril, Edu Imbernon, Finnebassen, Tube & Berger, Darren Emerson, Yousef and Felix Da Housecat. We are blessed to have her devote her beautiful energy to turning the 'Light On' in our hearts, heads and hips as we dance the day away and into the night. Selin Asar Selin is a multi-talented artist hailing from Turkey and force behind this earthquake fundraiser. As a classically trained musician, Selin's passion for electronic music began when she started writing her own vocal lyrics and melodies. Her debut single showcases her unique sound, blending her Turkish roots with contemporary beats to create something special. As a DJ, singer and producer, she is known for her creativity and as one to watch in the electronic music world. With Selin at the helm, you can expect a hybrid musical and mystical experience that will leave you feeling energised, centred, and connected. Ebz Ebz is a powerful creative force as a very talented artist and visionary, as well as a lifelong DJ. A born and bred East Londoner, raised by a strong Ghanian matriarch, Ebz draws on his roots, but also charges forward into the future with his legendary parties The Usual, where everything is just right. His sets are highly intelligent and vibrant - expect deep House, Afrohouse and techno. Cosmic Soultribe The resident DJs are the good-looking duo of Max Court and Jimmy F Kingston. They joined forces in Summer '22 with a back--to-back 3 hour set of melodic/progressive House at the boutique festival Fump's very unique, forest location and CosmicSoultribe was born. Since then, they've played at Secret Island Festival, at various private parties and our very own Sunday Service. PJ Addinall DJ and creator of electronic soundscapes, PJ Addinall is an exceptionally talented artist driven by his love of music and dancing. Always modest, PJ prioritises music and a compassionate approach to life. He has played in many major clubs, but won't ever brag about it. Miss Vegas Upbeat and joyful, Miss Vegas brings so much to the dancefloor. We have danced with her for many years and she has so much positive energy and joy both on decks and in front of them. She has been an integral part of the formation of the Light Service (formerly Sunday service) and also played at various private parties around London. Bushy Squirrel A wonderful presence on the decks or on the dancefloor, she will make you dance! She has DJ'd since the 2000s when she first moved to London and while she took a break to pursue a more serious career, she never stopped collecting and immersing herself in various genres of music. She has played at many events including Party Utility, Giggles,Spark House; and festivals including Heartwood and Fump. We are thrilled to have her with us. ART and YOGA Primitive Surrealist Mo El-Kadey will be exhibiting vibrant paintings that stimulate the senses with their use of bold lines, neon highlights and vivid colours that glow and excite during both the day and night (under blue light). His art is subversive, liberating and revolutionary, both drawing on his Egyptian roots and British home with its wild punk culture. A percentage of every work will be going to support Mozaik. Facepainters will also help create that festival feeling and there will be also be a half hour warm-up yoga session offered exclusively to those that sign up for it on the Facebook event page for donations only. WHO IT'S ALL FOR: Mozaik Foundation are a charity based in Britain but with strong links to Turkey. They work directly with various local organisations on the ground in the earthquake-hit zone and are very transparent so you can see the impact of your donations easily. The February earthquake that hit south eastern Turkey and northern Syria was devasting - more than 15 million people have been affected with 2 million displaced. We hope that our fundraiser will inspire people to dance the day away and into the night for a great cause. Come join us!
