For this iteration of Vibru, we take a step into the experimental world of techno music. We are privileged to bring two fantastic Detroit origin artists to Portland with the intention to showcase their new music and unique styles. In support, we have brought out some of the best local moody and emotional deep tech and techno artists.
Ke Thu - are a Detroit-based musical duo consisting of Steven Stavropoulos and Tim Barrett. Their music is an earnest exploration of techno and everything it is capable of. The group performs as a live act, employing a variety of hardware instruments to craft sets that range from boosting dance floor jammers to zoned-out sonic experiences. They have shared stages with international artists and have put out releases with labels all around the world. They have appeared on bills with members of Underground Resistance, DJ Holographic, DJ Boring, Beautiful Swimmers, Norm Talley, Delano Smith, and More. They made their festival debut in 2022 at Detroit’s Movement Festival.
The Valley and The Mountain - Detroit educated, Josh Dahlberg has been producing music and DJing for over twenty years. His analog centered approach blends house, techno, electro,
and experimental; most notably as The Valley and the Mountain (abbr. TVTM). As TVTM, Josh explores the tension between nature and technology
to create everything from moody dance floor grooves and atmospheric soundscapes.
Vibru - A concept born from what we all look for in music. Community. Connection. Euphoria. Escapism. And so much more. When you feel the change of energy in an artist's breakdown. When you achieve what you desperately worked so hard for. When you find the people, environments, and experiences, that make you blush. When everything feels aligned. That is Vibru. From the Croatian and Romanian languages, Vibru/Vibracaja translate to vibrate or vibration. With people, music, and connection taking center stage at all Secret Grove events, the name of our flagship event embodies what we not only want in our lives, but what we hope you experience when you spend your Saturday evening with us.
