OUT OF CTRL and Sticky Ground invite you to join Darc Marc (LIVE), ALNA, küetzal, EyeZak and Skip Rogers on July 1st at The Loft (Low Profile Studios) in Manor House.
This is an intimate techno party run by techno producers, DJs, and label owners ALNA and küetzal teaming up to bring the best techno grooves.
Darc Marc is a London based techno DJ, producer and live performer known for
his unique style of hard-edged techno which has led to a fanbase of followers
worldwide.
As well as his own material he has worked on collaborations with artists like Chris Liberator and Lenny Dee. Creating many releases such as Happy Birthday LSD, Maximum Minimum Swarfega, Orangey and Evil Murk, G.G. Rides Again and Break force that received single of the month in Wax magazine.
In 2019 he created a techno monster called Dirty Rocking Bass. Initially released on vinyl on Cluster X, it got great support from artists including Amelie Lens, Dense & Pika, I hate Models, Hector Oaks, D.A.V.E. The Drummer, SPFDJ and Nicole Moudaber who featured it in her Essential Mix on Radio 1 and is re-released a slower version of Dirty Rocking Bass on her Mood Records imprint and was also voted one of the best tracks of 2019 in Groove magazine in Berlin.
All his compositions are made with a combination of classic analogue synths /
drum machines / hardware integrated through modern digital gear and has
released on many labels such as Cluster, Stay Up Forever, Kaos / Oaks, Mood
Records, Gomboc, Cerber, Maximum Minimum and Hard Electronic and his own Pure Noise label.
His passion for music is unrivalled and this shows in his explosive live and DJ shows connecting with the crowd through the power of sound.
2023 sees him expanding his live set and working on a new performance to take on tour with a focus on making a more dynamic, interactive show incorporating more pattern-play approach to give each set an individual feel.
ALNA has been playing in the UK's techno scene for many years. She has been feeding East London's techno scene with events, promoting Hypnosis since 2018, and then launching her newest event series and prolific imprint OUT OF CTRL in 2022, with six releases published to date. ALNA's style and selection shows her unique view, blooming from UK techno roots into groovy, yet powerful sounds, old school inspired, filled with pace and pounding rhythms, that clearly reflect into her releases to date. Through her productions, DJ sets and attitude towards the current musical climate, ALNA is keeping things real, making a bold statement by maintaining things simple, focusing on quality productions and promoting integrity and authentic art/artists.
küetzal is one of the founders of the label Sticky Ground, established in 2016, and resident DJ for Genau Turin, one of the most prominent techno events in Italy, focusing on groovy, gritty & melodic sounds with a wide variety of influences. In the last two years he has been very prolific with over 6 EPs released on Gomboc Records, Taro Records, Askorn Records, and New Glam gaining the likes and support of institutions in the techno scene such as Perc and prominent artists like I Hate Models. His production space is beyond unpredictable and features much of his past as a classical pianist and rock guitarist, as well as his studies as a sound designer and music tech developer. All this is blended - with often different or opposite approaches - with groovy and powerful techno influences.
Eyezak is a London based techno DJ & producer. Originally from Devon he first started DJ’ing in 2008 with love for the Hard Techno, Funky and Acid Techno. He first started playing at local Techno nights in Exeter such as Bad Robot and Unity and also promoting small events of his own. He then moved to London in 2009 where the underground London Techno scene inspired him more.
EyeZak has recently played for Hydraulix Party at Fold nightclub in London and has also produced a track with D.A.V.E the Drummer which is released on Suara.
Skip Rogers reveals a rich variety of styles which stem from a history of immersive music-seeking from an early adolescence. His DJ sets are tainted by cutting edge electro-rave which never goes amiss throughout his music selection, widely emphasising an addiction to the Roland 808 signature sound. He focuses his approach to electronic music production by exploiting his affinity for Jungle and its predecessors. As an avid vinyl collector, his sounds evolve across the entire electro spectrum highlighting the every-lasting variation in his craft.
